Rosemary Olivarez passed away on May 15, 2024 peacefully in her sleep. Rosemary was born in Sanger, California on October 27, 1947.  She was the only child born to Felipe and Mary De La Paz.  Rosemary was raised in Sanger and graduated from Sanger High School in the class of 1965.  Rosemary married Richard Olivarez on December 2, 1972.  Richard and Rosemary raised three children and were married for 50 years.

After graduating high school, Rosemary had a very fulfilling career working for Dr. Ponek and Dr. Montoy in Sanger, California.  More than anything, Rosemary or 'Abuelita' enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Richard Olivarez, and her son, Shaun M. Olivarez.  Rosemary is survived by her son Phillip Olivarez and his wife Kristi of Clovis, daughter Jennifer Oneto and her husband Jason of Clovis,  grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 22 from 4pm - 6pm at Wallins Funeral Home (1524 Ninth St. Sanger, CA 93657) and immediately following a Rosary will be held at 6:00pm.  Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 23 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sanger, California, followed by a graveside service at Sanger District Cemetery.
