Ruth Ann Hurtado

July 4, 1959-May 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Ruth A. Hurtado a.k.a "Cuca", of Sanger, Ca gained her wings at the age of 66 on Wednesday May 27, 2026,
surrounded by loved ones.

Ruth, was better known as "Cuca". She was born on Saturday July 4th, 1959 in Sanger, Ca to Julio and Mary Hurtado. She was the middle of eight children and loved being part of a family that consisted of four brothers and four sisters. Cuca graduated from Sanger High School, as part of the Class of 1977.

She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for more than 30 years. She retired in November of 2021. She spent her time at home taking care of her grand dogs, Dobby & Daisy. She also loved to take random drives and trips with her daughters. Cuca was full of love and compassion for those around her. Many of them called her "Mom" because she was so easy to love and loved all who entered her home as her own. She had a way of drawing people in and giving them exactly what they needed without asking for anything in return. Cuca was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need without a second thought as to what she needed. She always treated others the way she wanted to be treated, with love and respect.

She had a Disney addiction that kept her busy. She often went on Disney trips and took her daughters and sister Pat along for the ride. Family meant everything to her, especially her two beautiful daughters. Her memories and legacy will live on with those she loved and those who loved her. The lessons, the recipes and the knowledge she passed down, will be forever in the hearts of those she loved and those she came across along the way.

Ruth is survived by her daughters Michele and Julissa, her partner in life Ismael, five siblings, Julio Jr., Richard, Kenneth, Annette, David, 12 nieces and nephews and 2 grand dogs Dobby and Daisy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Julio & Mary, and her sisters Patricia & Margaret.
