Shirley Hughey was born in Malaga, CA on April 26, 1935. She was the youngest of 10 children. Shirley lived in the Fresno area her entire life attending the Fowler Baptist Church since she was a child. Shirley was married to Harold Hughey for 60 years before his passing in 2018.

Shirley is survived by three children: Laurie, Stan and his wife Kimberly, and Peggy; five grandchildren: Chris and his husband Wences, Nick and his wife Mallory, Steph and her husband Jeff, Liz, and Sarah and her husband Tyler; and five great grandchildren: Colton, Ellie, Teagan, Gianna, and Taylor. Shirley is preceded in death by all of her siblings and her husband.
