Tad Tadashi Nakamura passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on Nov. 5, 1940, to Harley and Shizue Nakamura, Tad spent the early part of his childhood interned in Arkansas with his family starting at the age of two. They returned to Fowler in 1946, where he grew up and graduated from Fowler High School in 1958.

Tad attended San Francisco State University and passed his certified public accountant (CPA) exam shortly after graduation. He married Gail in 1969, and the two of them lived in San Francisco where both of their sons were born. In the late 70s, Tad returned to the Central Valley, started his own accounting firm in Fresno, and remained a loyal 49ers, Warriors and Giants fan throughout his lifetime.

A food, wine and travel aficionado, Tad is survived by his wife, Gail; two sons, Mark and Keith; daughter-in-law, Annie; grandson, Alex; sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Barry Okada; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at the Buddhist Church of Fowler on Saturday, April 27, at 11:30 a.m.
