Obituary

Thomas De Los Santos Sr, was a long time resident of Sanger.  He passed away on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 in Sanger, California at the age of 78.  Thomas was born on December 21, 1946 in Weslaco Texas to Alfonso De Los Santos and Maria Reyes Barrera De Los Santos.  Thomas and his family migrated until the Spring of 1954 where they found a long term home in Sanger, California.

It was there where they settled and he eventually met his beautiful loving wife to be, Paula Sanchez.  On July 30th 1970, they were married in Sanger, California where they began their 55 year marriage and had three children.  On May 8th, 1971, they had their first born son, Thomas De Los Santos Jr and began their family building journey.  It was shortly followed by another Son Daniel Edward and finally Leah Marie.

Thomas is preceded in death by both of his parents Alfonso De Los Santos and Maria Reyes Barrera De Los Santos and brothers Jesus De Los Santos, Anestacio De Los Santos, and Rufino De Los Santos.

He is survived by his three children, Thomas De Los Santos Jr, Daniel Edward De Los Santos, Leah Maria De Los Santos.  His 10 grandchildren Thomas De Los Santos III, Allison Cassandra De Los Santos, Jayden Analysse De Los Santos, Katie De Los Santos, Daniel De Los Santos, Devyn Clay, her husband Cory Clay, and Sebastian De Los Santos.  He also has surviving, three beautiful greatgrandchildren Brandon clay, Charlotte Clay, Emma Clay and his only sister Rosa Villareal.

He was a very kind, loving, and gentle man to everyone that he came in contact with.  His personality was humorous, caring, and was always willing and wanting to help anybody in need.  He had a stellar work ethic filled with always on time, and completing a job no matter what it took.  His love and his duty to his family took on many roles, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, among others.  He filled those shoes to the fullest in everyway that he could.

Thomas was also a faithful God loving man.  Raising his family in church and becoming a role model by being an active member to his church up until the end.  He was always thinking about others before himself.  During his last days, he would pray daily with his Pastor and many times alone.  He did not pray for himself or his health to get better but for God to keep his hand on those close to him after he was gone.

Thomas loved and was loved by the many lives that he touched.  He will be missed dearly.....
