Tomas G. Martinez's Obituary
Tomas Martinez, 91 passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023 surrounded by his family. Tomas is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty four years, Oralia Silva Martinez. Tomas lived in Parlier, California most of his life, for the last nine years he lived in Sanger California. Tomas worked as a farm laborer and for Del Monte Plant in Kingsburg, California, where he was well respected by those who worked alongside him.
Tomas is survived by his seven children, Raul Silva Martinez, Joe T. Martinez, Diane Diaz, Graciela Martinez, Rolando Martinez, Lydia M. Gonzalez and Patricia Martinez along with three son-in-laws, three daughter-in-laws, twenty nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Tomas considered FAMILY as his greatest gift, always diligent on the traditions and belief that family always came first and unity was always a must. Every Sunday you would find Tomas sharing breakfast with his children, extended family and friends. Tomas, had a personal relationship with God, he modeled is life under the Catholic faith, served in his local church in Parlier, at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church for many years.
Tomas is described as a hardworking, giving and compassionate towards for his fellow man. He was known to be a man of few words, but when he spoke he did so with sincerity and kindness towards others.
