"In Loving Memory of Vickie M. Lopez: Charco Blanco, Cerritos, S.L.P.: August 9, 2025.

Vickie M. Lopez passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 9th in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 83. She was born in Charco Blanco, Cerritos San Luis Potosí Mexico, one of six children to Dario and Maria Montelongo. From an early age, she had a heart of compassion, resilient and quiet determination stepping in to help the needy. She helped care for her father and 3 brothers. Later she use the skills she learned, to care for her husband's siblings as well as minister as a pastors wife to her church and community. Vickie had a special passion for Sunday school kids and troubled teens.

She married her childhood sweetheart of 53 years, and together they build a home of strong Christian values, prayer and service. In 1994 she became a US citizen by nationalization, an achievement she was honored to obtain. She loved reading her Bible, drinking coffee and talking about the Lord. She would often reminisce and tell stories of her life. Inevitably the conversation would turn to the goodness of God.

Vickie, leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and giving. She is preceeded in death by her husband Pastor Richard R Lopez Sr, father Dario, mother Maria and little sister Mary. She is survived by her children, Rev. Richard R Lopez II and Judie Gonzales; Siblings Martha Hernandez, Arthur Montelongo, Robert Montelongo, and Joe Montelongo. As well as eight Grandchildren and eight Great- Grandchildren; nieces, nephews, family and friends. Her life was a testimony to love, resilience, and faith. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her."
