Virginia Diane Alvarez, 64 years old, of Fowler, California, passed away on March 2, 2023 . A Rosary will be held at Wallin's Funeral Home in Fowler on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 6:00 pm .  Mass will be held at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Fowler on Thursday, March 16, 2023 , at 10:00 am .

Virginia Diane was born in Fresno, California, on October 13, 1958 . She is preceded in death by her parents, Raul and Frances Alvarez, and surviving siblings Angelina Tambunga of San Angelo, Texas, Richard Alvarez of Fresno, and Linda Turpin of Fowler.

She leaves behind her children, Francine Espinoza and Gregory Becerril, her son-in-law Danny Espinoza, and grandchildren, Alyssa and Travis Espinoza, Kaitlyn, and Robert Becerril.

Virginia Diane was Office Manager for Fowler Labor Service for 40 years, then retired due to poor health. She spent many years teaching CCD confirmation classes at St. Lucys. In addition, Virginia loved being of service to others and meeting new people. She always greeted family members,  old friends, and new ones with a smile and loved spending time talking to them. Virginia never missed an opportunity to share her faith with others and God's love and mercy. Although her declining health caused her to be homebound, she never gave up hope or lost faith. She was a true fighter and accepted God's will. Her legacy of faith will live in the hearts of her family.
