Wayne Stark

December 28, 1933 - October 16, 2023

Fresno, California - Wayne was born on December 28, 1933, in Selma, and passed at the age of 89. He married the love of his life Lucy (Bue) in 1954, and celebrated 69 years of togetherness. Their life together began at the old Iowa Grammar School and lasted a lifetime.

Wayne dreamed of being a mechanic from a very early age. He began his career at Johnny's Automotive in Fowler at age 16, before moving on to Pete Schwabenland Ford Tractor. He eventually opened his own garage in 1962, which he successfully operated for over 61 years.

When he wasn't working, Wayne enjoyed spending time with family (especially his grandchildren) and friends, watching racing, horseback packing in the Sierras, visiting the central coast, and spending time at home with Lucy.

Wayne is survived by his wife Lucy, his son Rick Stark and his wife Cherryl, their two daughters, Hillorie Schrock (husband Jeff) and Heidi Ratzlaff (husband Chris), and five great grandchildren- Audra and Susannah Schrock, and Michael, Emmett and Alexander Ratzlaff, and daughter Sharon Radley. He is also survived by his brothers, Kent Stark and his wife Wanda, Raymond Stark and his wife Carrie, and Rodney Stark and his wife Carol.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 26th at 10:00 at the Fowler Cemetery at 8523 S. Fowler Ave, Fowler CA.
